Burrow Avoids PUP List; Joe Show A Full Go

On Sunday morning, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Joe Burrow will be “on the field, healthy, when training camp begins.”

It’s been headed this way for a while now, but the sigh of relief is now official. Rapoport states that the news is a “significant development for Cincy,” but it’s more so just the confirmation of something the Bengals’ organization likely already knew for quite some time now.

This morning, the Bengals put out their NFI/PUP lists and Joe Burrow’s name was nowhere to be found. All systems Joe!

Burrow looks to be coming into his sophomore campaign locked and loaded. And more and more people seem to take notice every day. Seth Galina of PFF (@pff_seth on Twitter) tagged Joe Burrow as his number 1 breakout candidate this season. Jordan Palmer, who trained with Burrow throughout the pre-draft process, told The Athletic, “Joe Burrow is gonna go off this year.”

If anyone can take the NFL by storm and shock the world, it is number 9 in black and orange. As a dark horse MVP candidate, Burrow sits at +6000 odds to win the 2021 NFL MVP award on FanDuel. For those wondering, that means a $100 bet would net the bettor $6,000 should Burrow win MVP. This is far from financial advice, but it does go to show that the majority of football people are “sleeping” on Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
